So … I’m writing a book

May 10, 2016 by ItsAllJournalism

When I started this podcast back in 2012 with Jolie Lee and Megan Cloherty, I had no expectations about where it would lead me. Four years and many conversations later, we’re about to post our 200th podcast.

If you continue to interview people, record and post podcasts, eventually you’ll get to 200. That’s not too surprising.

What is surprising is that I recently signed a contract with the Routeledge – Taylor & Francis Group to write a book about podcasting.

Totally did not see that coming.

This has been in the works for a while, but I finally put ink to paper a couple of weeks ago and committed myself to writing a textbook for people who want to learn how to podcast.

I have no illusions. This is going to be a tough mountain to climb, especially with a full-time job and weekly podcast to produce. But it’s a challenge I’m up for.

Thanks to all my family and friends for their love and encouragement.

Things are going to get interesting.

— Michael O’Connell
