Kat Downs Mulder appeared on our podcast in May 2013. She returns for a livestream interview on Nov. 24, 12 noon ET.

Register: Kat Downs Mulder livestream interview

On Feb. 24, It’s All Journalism will be posting our 500th episode. As a podcast about journalism for journalists put together by a team of journalists, it’s only natural that we would draw attention to a large number with a zero at the end.

To mark the occasion, It’s All Journalism will be hosting a livestream video interview on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 12 noon (ET) with Kat Downs Mulder, the chief product officer and managing editor at The Washington Post

Megan Cloherty and I interviewed Kat in the first year of our podcast. She talked about how the Post’s graphics department had handled the Boston Marathon bombing, which happened the week before, and shared how she put together her portfolio. A lot has changed in the nine years since we last spoke to Kat and we should have lots to talk about.

Livestream Interview: Kat Downs Mulder of The Washington Post

To view the interview live on Zoom, please register in advance. The interview will also be live-streamed on the It’s All Journalism Facebook page, but only registered Zoom attendees will be able to submit questions to Kat during the interview.

Once the livestream is finished, the video will be available to view on Facebook for a limited time. The audio from the interview will be posted as part of a future It’s All Journalism podcast.

Although the IAJ team has participated in live, in-person events before, this will be our first livestream event. We hope you’ll be there to help us celebrate our 500th episode.
